the other night i was fortunate to meet diane carter. she was taken by a hyena 8 years ago
and survived. she now is an inspirational speaker in australia. this is an amazing story, cos
she was attacked in the middle of the bush, at night, and it took 2.5 hours to drive to the
nearest hospital. her injuries were so bad, she lost so much blood and hyena saliva is very
toxic. she survived the trip and then the flight to harare and after 14 operations and a glass
eye she lived to share her experience. she says attitude and positive thinking is the main
ingredient to success. but there is much more to this story, when di was 18 she fell in love
with a guy who moved to the UK, they kept in touch by mail and after a while they lost touch.
40 something years later he found her online and they began chatting on email. they soon
rekindled their flame for each other and after some months she flew to australia and met him. at
this point she was covered in bandages from her attack, they met for 2 hours and it was obvious
to them both that they still felt the same after all these years. her life turned around at 60, she
